Kibbutz Nahal Oz

Founded in 1953, Nahal Oz is a resilient agricultural community just 0.75 miles from the Gaza border. With 450 residents, the kibbutz is a symbol of Israeli resilience and settlement.

On October 7th, 2023, Nahal Oz was attacked by over 250 terrorists. The assault resulted in 15 deaths, 8 kidnaps (2 still held hostage), and the destruction of infrastructure, leaving the community in shock.

Today, the community is displaced, spread across southern and northern Israel, with plans to return to the kibbutz by summer 2025. Our main focus is on rebuilding a stronger and more resilient kibbutz, while maintaining continuity for our community until we return home.
