A Garden of Hope
A Garden of Hope
Community involvement is at the heart of this project, as part of the community’s efforts to build resilience, and connectedness. From the planning and planting stages to ongoing maintenance, the garden encourages active participation of all members, from children to the elderly.
Throughout the year, the garden will host outdoor activities, weekly educational programs for school-aged children, monthly family-friendly community events, and serve as a weekend meeting place for soldiers and their visitors.
Our plan: The garden will be established as a green, vibrant area accessible to all, with fruit trees and medicinal plants. It will be a place of refuge, growth and gathering, including shaded seating areas, hammocks, a fire pit, water and electricity infrastructure, restrooms, and exploration and play zones for children.
Status: Completed by November 2025
Project budget: $100,000
Funds raised: $45,000
